College Night Logistics

Luxembourg College Night 2017 will be held at the International School of Luxembourg. Representatives may choose to take a shuttle to/from the event or to find their own transportation. Volunteers and school staff will be on hand to check you in and show you to your table. For security purposes, we ask that you please bring a photo ID along with you when arriving to the fair.

How do I get to the fair? The U.S. Embassy to Luxembourg will provide a free shuttle bus for representatives. Representatives taking the shuttle will meet in the main lobby of the Le Royal Hotel at 3:45 p.m. (TBC) with a prompt departure of 3:55 p.m. (TBC). Representatives will also be able to take the same shuttle bus back to the Le Royal Hotel after the event at approximately 10:00 p.m. (TBC). Please note that representatives must reserve their seat on this shuttle in advance by emailing LuxembourgPublicAffairs@state.gov with their name, institution, and contact information.

Representatives may also choose to take their own transportation to the fair. If you prefer to reserve a taxi in advance, please ask your hotel concierge or try Web Taxi (email: www.webtaxi.lu, telephone +352 27515; English spoken). While navigating, please note that streets and signs are labeled in French and English. However, most people will be able to assist you in English if necessary.

How can I transport physical materials to the fair? You may ship printed materials or equipment to The International School of Luxembourg in advance. Please make sure to label your boxes “Luxembourg College Night.”

Universities are encouraged to bring materials about any NCAA, NIAI, or NJCAA athletic programs and/or Summer and English Language Programs available for international students at their school. Representatives are also encouraged to collect information from their university about how many Luxembourgish applicants and matriculated students they welcomed during the last academic year before they embark on their travel.

Where should I plan to stay? The U.S. Embassy provides a shuttle bus to and from the fair, from the Le Royal Hotel. It is therefore recommended that university representatives stay at the Le Royal Hotel.

A block of 35 rooms has been reserved at the Le Royal with the Embassy rate of €240 (breakfast and internet included).

Can I arrange visits to other international schools while in Luxembourg? It is possible to arrange visits to international and Luxembourgish public high schools. If you are interested in arranging a visit, you may contact St. George’s International School (http://www.st-georges.lu/), the European School in Luxembourg (http://www.euroschool.lu/esluxone/Home/home.html), or the Waldorf School (http://www.waldorf.lu/). Additionally there are 3 French International Schools in Luxembourg, Lycée Vauban (https://www.vauban.lu/), École française du Luxembourg (http://www.ecolefrancaise.lu/) and the École privée Marie-Consolatrice (http://www.epmc.lu/).
